Smt. Rama Durai-swaminathan is an integral part of the dance faculty at Natya Sankalpaa. Born into a musical family, Rama is the daughter of the legendary Mridanga Vidvan Late Sri.V.P.Ramdoss. She is the wife of reknowned violinist Late Sri Durai Swaminathan. She received formal training in dance from Kalaimamani Smt. K.J.Sarasa. She is a diploma holder in dance from the Govt. college of Music, Chennai.
Smt. Rama Duraiswaminathan has been teaching dance to young students for over a decade. She is experienced in handling aspiring students. Rama joined Natya Sankalpaa in the year 2000 She has dedicated her life to teaching Bharatanatyam. Her commitment to teaching is total. Through periods of stress she represents a pillar of strength. To her, N.S. is like home and every student her own child.
Smt. Saikripa Prasanna
Smt. P.Sai Kripa is an integral part of the training faculty for dance at Natya Sankalpaa. Sai Kripa has been learning Bharatanatyam since childhood. Sai Kripa, a Psychologist, is a Post diploma holder in Bharatanatyam from the esteemed Kalakshetra Foundation, Tiruvanmiyur, Chennai. She is pursuing the art under the noble guidance of her Guru Prof. Sri. C.V. Chandra Shekar and Smt. Manjari. Over the years she has participated in dance dramas at Kalakshetra in many significant roles. She is a Freelance Artiste and has worked with many other leading dancers in the city.
Sai Kripa has profound interest in the theory of the Art Form and handles the theory sessions at Natya Sankalpaa. She perceives training as the best way to learn. Smt. Sai Kripa endears herself to young students. She is extremely organized and hard working. She teaches with great patience. She adheres strictly to the motto of her alma mater, ‘knowledge without fear’.
